Summer Mover Crew Member

We are looking to expand our team for the summer busy season.  We are looking for courteous, enthusiastic, and hardworking individuals with excellent customer service skills. In this role, you are eligible for cash tips and bonuses, on top of your hourly starting wage of $19.00!

Responsibilities:

As a crew member of a moving team, you will be responsible for safely packing, loading, and unloading items (this can include typical household or office items and furniture) for moves ranging from local to interstate moves. You may be required to disassemble and reassemble furniture, such as bed frames or desks. This job allows you to work outdoors for periods of time and perform a variety of duties each day.  This is a seasonal position for the summer.  

In this role, you will gain work experience in teamwork, customer service, leadership, problem solving and in using industry tools/equipment.  If you like variety and prefer not to sit at a desk all day, this is the summer job for you!

Requirements:

• Be punctual and dependable.
• Have a customer service focused mindset and a positive attitude.
• Have ability to lift and move boxes and furniture (50 lbs or more) for hours at a time.
• Be well mannered, courteous, and eager to help.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Available for early morning start times (can vary from 6:30am to 7:30am).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including extended hours at times.
• Pass an employment background check.
• Be at least 18 years old.

Preferred Job Requirement:

• A valid driver's license & a clear driving record.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to handle heavy objects and move items for several hours a day. Able to continually move body at a fast pace. Able to frequently climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and walk. Able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds. Occasionally move items over 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Will be exposed to periods of being outdoors.
