Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their dining experience. Your ability to manage reservations, greet guests warmly, and ensure smooth seating will contribute significantly to our restaurant's success.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover.
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, taking reservations and providing information about the restaurant.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with a focus on excellent customer service and guest relations.
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for managing reservations and orders as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Host/Host or in food service is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving and guest services, is advantageous.
- Experience in hotel settings or related industries is a plus.
