What are the responsibilities and job description for the Advanced A Equipment Operator -Oconee Golf Course position at Reynolds Lake Oconee?
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintains all golf course areas and maintenance facility. Involves use of hand-held type equipment such as:
Weed eaters Self-propelled walking mower Picks and pitchforks
Backpack & push blowers Flymows Level lawns
Edgers Rakes and shovels Water hoses
Dew whips Core pushers
- Operate Utility Carts
- Maintains sprinkler heads and valve boxes
- Maintains bunkers
- Maintains cart paths (edge and blow)
- Walk Mow Greens and Tees
- Daily cleanup of equipment and facility
- Record fuel use in fuel log
- Mow Fairways
- Mow Roughs
- Mow Approaches
- Blow Fairways and Rough
- Spread pine and hardwood mulch 3 times per week. Involves standing, load/unload mulch, and hand spreading.
- Operates construction equipment
- Operates aerators
- Operates top-dressed
- Golf Course Setup
- Train crew members and set examples for other crew members to follow
- Assist with irrigation installations and repairs
- Assist equipment technicians with equipment setup, maintenance and repairs
- Assist Special Projects Technicians with installations and repairs
- Assist with fertilizer and pesticide application
- All other duties as required by supervision.
Safety Requirements:
- Performs job responsibilities and operates equipment according to the company safety and training programs.
- Uses personal protective equipment as trained and required.
- -Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Steel Toe Boots when required, Sunscreen, Gloves, Seatbelts when required
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Reports safety or hazard concerns to management.
- Reports any on the job injury to management immediately.
- Takes personal responsibility for safety every day.
- Report equipment issues to Equipment Manager immediately.
Qualifications:
- Prefer previous experience on golf course or construction site (including use of Heavy Equipment)
- Must be able to bend, stretch and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to perform outdoor physical labor in varying weather conditions.
- Must have strong background in golf course maintenance, construction or agricultural industry
