Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Machine Operator located at our manufacturing facility in Huntersville, NC.

Pay: $26.70-$45.60/hour

Night Shift - 12 Hours

*Pay rate is dependent upon prior experience

Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Operator Associate is responsible for performing routine machine set ups and minor adjustments to plastic extrusion equipment while ensuring safe, efficient, and quality focused production. This role involves handling materials, monitoring and adjusting process controls, inspecting work in process for defects, maintaining accurate production records, and supporting continuous operations through effective communication and teamwork. The Operator Associate also supports training of other associates and helps maintain compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.

• Ensure safe operation of extrusion machines while maintaining a clean and compliant work environment
• Maintain compliance with GMPs, safety requirements, quality procedures, and productivity standards
• Monitor production processes and identify defective products or process deviations
• Support continuous production through effective communication with shift leads and operators
• Assist with training and on the job development of other associates
• Contribute to overall team effectiveness by providing operational and break relief support
• Perform routine machine set ups and make minor mechanical adjustments or repairs using hand and bench tools
• Operate pallet jacks to move equipment and materials as needed
• Monitor and adjust equipment controls such as vacuum, heat, pressure, timing, and water flow
• Conduct quality checks and make necessary process adjustments
• Dispose of out of spec materials using a plastic granulator
• Complete and maintain production reports, data entry, and detailed shift documentation

Requirements

We need you to have:

• In depth knowledge of plastic extrusion machinery and auxiliary equipment through formal training or equivalent experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude with effective problem solving skills
• Excellent understanding of plant and machine safety practices
• Proficiency in basic math, measurements, and ratios
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Icing on the cake:

• Minimum of four years of experience in a plastic extrusion environment (preferred)
