Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patients’ conditions.
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans.
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning and preparation.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional health.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or developmental disabilities as needed.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health, hospice care, or long-term care.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR is preferred; certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
- Experience working in group homes or assisted living facilities is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility challenges.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Experience in cooking, meal preparation, and maintaining hygiene standards in a caregiving setting.
