Job DescriptionPosition Summary:Responsible to maintain the day-to-day ordering, planning and expediting of materials and supplies.Duties and Responsibilities:The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons· Monitor and adjust as necessary material master data settings for all parts to ensure the Safety Stock, supplier contact information, and all other necessary master data fields is correct.· Determine items to be ordered, generate purchase orders, as well as following up on all changes that are proposed by the system.· Constantly optimize material master data and other settings to obtain highest efficiency in acknowledging orders, producing orders, managing inventory and shipping material to meet customer demands.· Monitor, analyze and improve key performance indicators for planning (e.g. delivery performance, inventory, costs).· Lead continuous improvement efforts in the area of information flow between customer, sales and supplying plants to establish and improve the material supply chain and service level to the customer by applying lean principles.· Support new product introductions (phase-ins/phase-outs) and engineering/revision changes with sales, production team and supplying plant to meet customer requirements while minimizing obsolescence risk.· Start and manage escalations with suppliers to solve various types of issues in the supply chain.· Data analysis for uncovering improvement potentials and determining root causes of supply chain issues.· Perform other essential and related duties as may be assigned.Supervisory Responsibilities:· This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesPhysical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:· Lift and move a minimum of 5 pounds without assistanceWork Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. The noise level in the work environment can be quiet to moderate to loudQualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or similar discipline from an accredited institution (ex. CHEA) or 5 years’ experience in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, Capacity Planning, Production Planning, Purchasing or similar discipline. · MS Office familiarity. · Proficiency at using or programming IT systems used in Logistics (e.g. ERP-systems like SAP, database software (Excel, Power BI), data mining). · Customer focused and clear communication skills for various channels (face to face, phone, email, Teams). · Operate well with little oversight, and be able to make decisions and take calculated risks. · Working outside of standard office hours may be required on short notice.Additional InformationIndefinite U.S. work authorized individuals only.
