The Manual Machinist machines parts through professional utilization of various conventional machine tools
and related equipment. These parts are used to build Rexa actuators and valves.
Responsibilities:
- Measures material to be used for job using any of the measuring tools needed in making surethe material is correct for the part to be
- Sets up work holding (vise, knee, fixture)
- Performs manual cutting, turning, drilling, tapping, and threading on a manual lathe or
- Performs first, last, and in process inspection to make sure hole locations hole size and overall size of part is correct to the
Qualifications:
- 2-years’ experience operating manual machines or technical, vocational education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to set up and operate conventional machining equipment, while minimizing down
- Demonstrated ability to work from and interpret, blueprints, sketches and verbally communicated
- Ability to read and use measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, and bore micrometers with a full knowledge of their
- General shop math skills are required
- Available to work overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Standing 90% of the time
- Walking 10% of the time
