Qualifications

• Possess a valid Class A CDL with a minimum of two years of verified Class A driving experience.
• Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and ability to pass a drug screening.
• Experience operating boom trucks, flatbeds, or in logging operations.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Physically capable of securing loads and tarps, including occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, and reach with body, arms, and legs.
• Able to perform routine equipment maintenance and recognize when service is needed.
• Proficient in monitoring vehicle gauges and indicators to ensure proper functioning.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Capable of completing loads, deliveries, truck servicing, and daily inspections.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Working knowledge of semi-truck and trailer components and operations.
• Excellent hand-eye-foot coordination.

Driver Duties

• Transport goods to company locations and customers while following DOT and company safety guidelines.
• Operate flatbed and logging trucks safely and efficiently.
• Secure loads using provided straps and binders to ensure damage-free delivery.
• Climb onto loads using provided safety equipment to apply and secure tarps.
• Maintain accurate ELD and safety records.
• Drive safely, courteously, and punctually to meet delivery appointment times.
• Complete assigned backhaul pickups and deliveries as requested by Dispatch or Management.
• Keep truck and trailer clean and well-maintained, adhering to preventative maintenance schedules and DOT inspection requirements.
• Work assigned schedules and complete duties reliably.
• Maintain consistent and professional communication with Dispatch and Management.
• Immediately report any issues, including mechanical problems, delays, or accidents.
• Represent Rex Transportation professionally and courteously at all company mills and customer locations.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and site-specific rules provided by company mills and customers.
