SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS

Effectively work with the filing team to perform/coordinate a variety of functions to support the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of saw filing operations and production operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Basic maintenance and/or mechanical skills.
• Recognize unsafe conditions.
• Responsible for inspecting, sharpening, and assisting in replacing saws and knives.
• Safely filing and maintaining band saws, circle saws, chipper knives, and saw guides.
• Performing machine alignment, maintaining saw filing equipment and preventive maintenance procedures.
• Troubleshoot knife, circle saws, band saws, and guide problems.
• Must be able to operate and understand precision measuring and grinding equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• The above represents most of the duties associated with this position but there may be additional aspects of the position not listed here. Flexibility is required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Willing to Train the right candidate.
• Prior Saw File experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
• Ability to recognize hazards and make safe work decisions.
