About the Role
The Maintenance Manager is a key leadership position at Reworld, responsible for providing functional leadership and direction to the maintenance team. The individual in this role will report directly to the Facility Manager and be accountable for achieving daily, yearly, and long-term asset reliability goals through the application of maintenance best practices site-wide.
Key Responsibilities:
Additional responsibilities include leading the promotion of a strong safety and environmental stewardship culture, ensuring good maintenance & reliability practices are followed, contributing with managerial and leadership expertise to events that impact the safety, health and environmental performance of the site, developing and implementing new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimizing operating costs, and effecting greater utilization of labor and materials, and managing maintenance shops comprised of both heavy equipment and diesel fleet mechanics.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have excellent team building skills/leadership skills, solid understanding of Lean, 5S and other reliability process improvements tools, strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, and excellent computer skills. They will also be able to walk, stand, sit, and climb, lift/carry 50lbs, work from heights and in confined spaces, qualify to wear a full-face respirator, and consistently work in various weather conditions.

- Prioritizes all maintenance and maintenance-related project activities to ensure optimal facility performance relative to available resources (personnel, finances, and allotted time).
- Act as a Safety Leader to ensure individual and team Safety remain top priority in the planning and execution of all tasks.
- Continuous improvement in maintenance approach, encourage initiatives intended to reduce safety risk, increase productivity and efficiency, reduce maintenance cost.
Additional responsibilities include leading the promotion of a strong safety and environmental stewardship culture, ensuring good maintenance & reliability practices are followed, contributing with managerial and leadership expertise to events that impact the safety, health and environmental performance of the site, developing and implementing new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimizing operating costs, and effecting greater utilization of labor and materials, and managing maintenance shops comprised of both heavy equipment and diesel fleet mechanics.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the maintenance experience with heavy equipment and truck maintenance and repair, crane experience strongly preferred.
- Must possess a minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong organizational and technical writing ability for converting vendor manuals into plant-specific procedures, such as inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Familiar with reliability tools such as Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
