About Our Client
Our client is an AI-native ATS and CRM built specifically for executive search firms, backed by Y Combinator. They are changing how recruiting firms leverage their data and institutional knowledge, growing fast on word of mouth alone, and are now ready to build out their go-to-market engine from the ground up.
Who We’re Looking For
Ideal Profil
An SDR with ~2 years of SaaS experience who is hungry to be officially promoted to AE within a few months. We’re also open to early AE candidates willing to build pipeline themselves rather than waiting for leads to be handed to them.
Strong Preference
- For:Former recruiter or someone who has sold into the recruiting/HR
- spaceBuilt outbound from scratch — not just worked inbound or answered warm
- leadsComfortable with ambiguity, no existing playbook, and the energy of a founding-stage company.
Who You Are
- Scrappy and resourceful. You don’t wait to be told what to do — you figure out the best way to get in front of the right people.
- Obsessed with targeting. You’d rather send 50 well-researched emails than 500 generic ones.
- Comfortable using tools like Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI to build targeted prospect lists and identify decision makers.
- Familiar with the executive search industry — or genuinely curious to learn it fast. You know the difference between a Managing Partner and a Research Associate and why it matters for outreach.
- Organized and process-driven. You document what works, iterate on what doesn’t, and build repeatable play books.
- Not afraid to pick up the phone, show up at a conference, or find creative ways to get attention.
What You’ll Actually Be Doin
- Building and refining target account lists — identifying the right executive search firms and the decision makers within them.
- Using tools like Clay, LinkedIn, and AI to research prospects and personalize outreach.
- Running cold outbound campaigns (email, LinkedIn, phone) to book meetings for our founders.
- Helping build out the GTM stack and processes. The company uses its own product as the core CRM, and you’ll help make it even better by using it daily.
- Representing the company at industry conferences, events, and anywhere the ICP gathers.
- Finding creative channels to get in front of search firm leaders beyond just cold email.
- Tracking everything, measuring what works, and constantly improving the outbound playbook.
Bonus Points If You...
- Have worked in recruiting, staffing, or HR tech.
- Have 1–2 years of BDR/SDR experience at a B2B SaaS company.
- Have used Clay, Apollo, or similar prospecting tools.
- Have experience with conference or event-based selling.
- Have worked at or founded an early-stage startup.
Why Work With Us
- Founding sales role — wear many hats, have real ownership, and build the GTM engine from scratch rather than inheriting someone else’s playbook.
- The company is growing fast on word of mouth alone and has a real waitlist for demos.
- AI-native ATS for executive search firms. You’d work with the leading search firms in the country and see firsthand how they’re using AI day to day.
- A team that likes to be first at building things in the space before they’re obvious.
- Clear path to AE — and a grandfathered commission structure for someone who performs.
- YC-backed and cash flow positive.
- Work directly with the founders and have a real seat at the table on strategy
- Location
- NYC area preferred. Open for the right candidate, as long as they can travel to New York for the first few weeks of onboarding to work in person with the founders.
