Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC lathes and ensuring precision in the fabrication of components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a factory environment.
Duties
- Operate CNC lathe machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files to determine machining requirements.
- Set up tooling and fixtures for lathe operations, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Utilize GD&T principles to ensure parts meet precise tolerances.
- Assemble finished products as required, ensuring all components fit together correctly.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Operate forklifts safely when moving materials or finished products within the facility.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Operator or in a similar role within a factory setting.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and CAD designs.
- Familiarity with milling machines and other machining tools is advantageous.
- Knowledge of logic controllers and their applications in CNC operations is preferred.
- Strong understanding of tooling, setup procedures, and machining techniques.
- Ability to apply GD&T principles effectively in production tasks.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
