What are the responsibilities and job description for the Repro Assistant Shift Supervisor position at Revolution?
Revolution is now hiring for an Assistant Shift Supervisor in the Reprocessing area of our Terre Haute, IN facility. This role will help lead a production team in processing various types of plastic through shredders/grinders for preparation to sell or reprocess. The successful candidate will be capable of working within a team environment and be individually motivated to accomplish goals and objectives.
- Train new employees, operators, and material handlers. Fill in for Supervisors as needed.
- Actively promote plant safety and environmental programs and procedures.
- Inspect equipment and product to ensure optimum safety, utilization, and quality.
- Communicate with all employees concerning safety, scheduling, problem-solving, overtime, vacations, and training.
- Review, analyze, and act to correct non-conformance in safety, production, policies, and procedures.
- Break out Operators, Assistant Operators, and Material Handlers as needed.
- Lead, coach, and support line process teams to improve quality, increase flexibility and reduce costs.
- Promote and implement our Core Values daily.
- Ability to understand and work well with team members, both in operations & support teams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.
- A demonstrated capability of superior performance within a team environment is essential.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and working knowledge of plant equipment and safety.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work weekends and/or shift work with a strong work ethic and employment history.
- A self-motivated individual that can multi-task and lead others.
