Position Summary

Revolution Space has an immediate opening for a Production Program Manager to support our space systems product portfolio. The Production Program Manager will be an integral member of the Revolution Space production team.

This position will collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Mission Assurance, Program Management, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment between material availability, production readiness, and program objectives. In addition to driving sourcing strategies and supplier performance, this role will provide supervision and direction to Manufacturing Engineering resources, supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), tooling, and fixtures required for efficient, repeatable production.

This position is responsible for ensuring seamless integration of material planning, production floor execution, and final system delivery, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks related to supply chain, manufacturability, and production scalability. The ideal candidate brings a strong balance of supply chain expertise and hands-on manufacturing insight, particularly in the development and support of electromechanical assemblies in high-reliability environments

The position is full-time, onsite at the Boston, MA location. This position will require travel of up to 30%, depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive sourcing strategies for materials that align with the company's business goals and supply chain objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality materials, timely delivery, and long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct regular assessments of supplier performance, including quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor program specific supplier performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
  • Understand and communicate material lead times and inventory risk.
  • Coordinate raw material post processing schedules with outside businesses partners.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to Manufacturing Engineering resources supporting production execution, ensuring alignment between material strategy, process capability, and production readiness.
  • Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) considerations in collaboration with engineering teams, specifically for complex electromechanical assemblies.
  • Oversee the development, validation, and lifecycle management of production fixtures, tooling, and test equipment required for electromechanical device assembly and integration.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to develop and implement assembly processes, work instructions, and production routing for electromechanical systems.
  • Ensure fixture and tooling designs meet production rate, repeatability, ESD, and quality requirements, including validation through first article and process qualification activities.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) efforts related to production inefficiencies, fixture performance, or electromechanical integration challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean/Kaizen) focused on reducing build cycle time, improving yield, and enhancing production scalability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7 years of experience in Production Management electro-mechanical assemblies with a focus on NPI Engineering. NPI activities should include supplier evaluation and selection.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of a modern ERP system, similar to SAP, Oracle or similar experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in cross functional environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance



Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition laws and regulations (Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)).
  • Proven Experience with import and export laws (International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

159,200 - 238,800 USD per year(Boston, MA)
