A Ground-Floor Opportunity With Real Upside
This is a rare chance to build something from the ground up. You'll be the first dedicated Process Engineer this company has ever had — which means no legacy systems to untangle, no politics to navigate, and no ceiling on what you can build. You'll have direct access to plant leadership, full ownership of the CI function from day one, and a clear runway to grow into a multi-site role overseeing 5–10 facilities as the function scales.
If you want ownership, visibility, and a real seat at the table — this is it.
What You'll Do
- Spend 95% of your time on the production floor, driving real-time improvements where the work actually happens
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives targeting scrap reduction, throughput gains, and changeover efficiency
- Deliver $300K in annual documented cost savings and manage a CI project pipeline exceeding $750K
- Build and own the CI function from scratch — establish processes, tools, and reporting that don't currently exist
- Track and report KPIs including safety, productivity, scrap rate, throughput, and changeover times
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and Supply Chain to implement and sustain improvements
- Standardize best practices across teams and shifts to ensure consistency plant-wide
- Present findings and progress directly to plant leadership — your work will be visible from day one
- Mentor floor teams on Lean/CI principles as the function grows, laying the groundwork for future multi-site expansion
What You'll Bring
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related field)
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma a plus)
- Strong data analysis skills — comfortable turning floor observations into measurable KPIs
- A bias for action — you'd rather be on the floor solving problems than sitting in a meeting talking about them
- Self-starter mentality; comfortable building a function without an existing playbook to follow
Why This Role
- Ground-floor role with a defined path to multi-site oversight
- Direct line to plant leadership — no layers between you and decision-makers
- Aggressive comp package reflecting the strategic importance of the role
- Real budget and mandate for CI work ($750K pipeline) — not just a title
Salary : $90,000 - $140,000
