Job Overview

The Dental Assistant position at Revolution Dental Group is one of the most vital roles within our practice. As a Dental Assistant, you are an integral member of the clinical team and play a pivotal role in delivering the exceptional patient experience we strive to provide every day.

This position primarily functions as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA), providing chairside support during restorative procedures while ensuring efficient clinical workflow and an outstanding patient experience. In addition, this role assists in both restorative treatment and surgical procedures, requiring versatility, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to the needs of the practice. Success in this position requires clinical excellence, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for caring for patients throughout every stage of their treatment journey.

Duties

  • Prepare patient operatory for consultations, surgery and delivery of appliances as necessary.
  • Procure and prepare necessary instrumentation for surgery
  • Maintain HIPPA and patient confidentiality at all times
  • Perform dental X-rays and CT
  • Assist with 4-Handed and 6-Handed Dentistry
  • Remove and attach patient dental prosthetics
  • Administering topical anesthetic
  • Providing clinical answers & information to front office teammates for patient call-in questions
  • Learn dental processes, procedures, terminology and techniques including but not limited to, fixed dental implants, restorative treatment and dental prosthetics
  • Entering detailed patient chart notes into practice management software
  • Opening duties
  • Closing duties
  • Surgery assisting
  • Restorative Treatment
  • Proficiency in Practice Management software: Open Dental
  • Meets key performance indicators
  • CE in dental clinical aspects

Skills

  • Is expert in x-ray, CBCT/Pano and patient charting
  • Assist with 4-Handed and 6-Handed Dentistry
  • Familiarity with Open Dental software for managing patient records and scheduling.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation.
  • Ability to work as part of a team effectively while promoting a collaborative work environment.

Skills, Qualifications and Competencies:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Oregon Driver License and insurance
  • Current, valid radiology certificate
  • Certified in the state of Oregon
  • Basic CPR Certification
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Engaging and friendly; excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and maintain a pleasant demeanor
  • Desire to learn dental healthcare, oral health, dental implants, dental prosthetics, dental terminology, dental instruments, restorative procedures and processes.
  • Adept at problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Has dependable job attendance and can be relied on to follow through with assigned tasks.
