Responsibilities

Revolution is now hiring for an Assistant Line Operator position for its Blown Film department in Terre Haute, IN. This role will be responsible for processing various types of plastic to provide high-quality reprocessed bags, sheeting, and tubing. The successful candidate will be capable of working within a team environment and be individually motivated to accomplish goals and objectives.

• Work responsibly in a safe manner, following all safe operating procedures and posted requirements.
• Examine one bag every 15 minutes, and record one check every ½ hour for length and lay flat/width, gussets, film strength, gauge, seal, and box weight to maintain quality control.
• Fold bags neatly.
• Stack cartons straight and uniform on each pallet.
• Stamp boxes with personal stamp.
• Keep scrap to a minimum by taking care of problems quickly while keeping good bags if issues occur.
• Ensure the proper number of bags are in each carton and the carton is filled from top to bottom to avoid crushing.
• Make an adequate number of boxes for the next shift.
• Keep work area clean and organized at all times.
• Retain 3 samples from each pallet (bottom, middle, and top).

Qualifications

• High School diploma, or GED required.
• Necessary math skills - Addition, subtraction, and multiplication to record accurate reports.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Ability to periodically lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Frequently lift 50 lbs. Sometimes push up to 100 lbs. Move up to 900 lbs. using a pallet jack. 
• Must be able to stand for 12 hours in a non-climate controlled environment. 
• Must be flexible to work weekends and holidays. 
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
