What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analyst position at Revman International Inc?
This position is responsible for creating and analyzing data models between relational databases/tables over multiple reporting platforms so the end user is able to create, modify, maintain and schedule reports using various report writing tools based on specification and business needs as well as documenting and assisting with optimizing the processes of other departments within the organization.
Position Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating a model with relational databases so an end user can write reports
- Responsible for report creating and managing of Power BI and developing business analysis for departments
- Responsible for assisting the manager in driving the department initiatives
- Responsible for identifying and providing recommendations on how they can be more efficient by developing better reporting, subscriptions through different reporting platforms
- Responsible for managing the design of the report environment which includes data sources, accuracy, security and verification
- Responsible for meeting with business users to understand reporting problems and provide solutions
- Responsible for designing/developing solutions to meet business reporting requirements for business users
- Responsible for maintaining data integrity for general ledger and reporting
- Responsible for coordination of internally requested projects across all departments
- Responsible for setup and governance of Power BI publications
- Responsible for providing and ensuring that reporting documentation is up to date
- Responsible for monitoring and optimizing report performance across multiple reporting platforms, as well as demonstrating reporting platforms for business users
- Responsible for development and publication of reporting through SSRS
- Responsible for managing technical project for setup, implementation, and publication of reporting
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in computer or information technology field
- Three years of experience in relational database design
- Three years of SQL query and server experience, to include strong knowledge of complex SQL queries
- Ability to be a quick learner and self-starter
- Strong time management skills as well as being adaptable
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook) as well as experience with pivot tables
- Strong working knowledge of Power BI
- Basic knowledge of PowerApps
- Must possess good communicational skills (written and oral) to effectively communicate and report information to all levels of the Company
- Ability to remain current on applicable technology
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to prioritize work and answer questions related to work assignments
- Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented and to perform the job under a moderate to high-levels of stress; while knowing reporting is a major factor in the decision making of senior management and that good, accurate reports assist in decision making for the whole company
