Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable EXISTING American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructors to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for certifying members of our communities, the workplace and healthcare facilities with lifesaving First Aid and CPR training for lay responders and healthcare providers.
Qualifications/Experience
- Current REQUIRED certification as follows: American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor, Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS). (If lacking the BLS Instructor certificate, the candidate can bridge [fast-track] into the Red Cross BLS instructor program without charge and quickly. In order to teach for Revive CPR, instructors will need both instructor certifications before teaching.
- Strong public speaking skills with the capability to engage diverse audiences.
- Prior teaching experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information.
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift 25 to 30 lbs.
- Ability to manage a class independently.
- Must possess all required equipment and materials to deliver classes as contractor. For example, 4 adult manikins, 4 infant manikins, 4 AED trainers, BVMs, pocket masks/valves and first aid training consumables.
Schedule
- Weekends preferred.
- Can consider weekdays if instructor is available during the day.
