Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Front of House Shift Leader to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations during shifts, providing exceptional customer service, and leading the front-of-house staff. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food service industry, with a focus on quick service. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, staff training, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Dynamic front of house personality with the ability to engage customers in a courteous yet efficient manner being cognizant of the ebbs and flows of service in this quick serve environment.
- Supervise front of house operations to ensure efficient service and adherence to company standards.
- Able to adhere to company standards, processes and procedures relative to cash handling, order taking, expediting dine in, take out and third party orders effectively and efficiently.
- Will be required to train incoming team members and develop current team members in customer service, food handling, and operational procedures.
- Manage cash handling processes and oversee the operation of TOAST POS system.
- Assist in food preparation and/or cooking as needed when necessary to support kitchen team as well as the juice bar during peak times or when needed. Prior kitchen experience not required, but familiarity with a kitchen recommended.
- Conduct inventory control to maintain stock levels and minimize waste. Monitor and stock grab & go station, bakery items and beverage cooler.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining room during service hours and responsibile for cleaning all front of house areas after close.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards. ServSafe certification will be required to obtain if not already certified.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during shifts. Direct guests to appropriate other channels if unsure how to resolve the situation, always being mindful of the guests' concerns.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.15 - $27.88 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 35 per week
