Overview
The Associate Pastor serves as the on-site leader responsible for the overall health, culture, and operations of Sunday mornings. This role ensures that every guest feels seen, every team member is equipped, and every service runs smoothly. The Associate Pastor oversees and develops Build Team leaders, creates a culture of care and connection within the campus, and supports the overall mission and vision of the church. The Associate Pastor leads the care ministry to ensure Revive remains a place of belonging and transformation throughout the week.
Key Responsibilities
Sunday Operations:
- Oversee all aspects of Sunday morning services, ensuring excellence and alignment with the church’s mission and values.
- Lead and coordinate front of house teams, including Setup/Teardown, Hospitality, Security, Host teams, and Prayer teams.
- Oversee and lead Connections and processes, including The Table, Meet Revive, and Build Revive.
- Create systems and rhythms that keep Sundays running smoothly.
- Troubleshoot issues quickly and maintain a calm, faith-filled presence.
Build Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, train, and develop Build Team leaders across all service areas.
- Provide regular coaching, encouragement, and accountability for team leaders through consistent meeting rhythms.
- Champion leadership development pathways to help Build Team members grow in both character and competency.
- Cultivate a culture of ownership, excellence, and empowerment within Build Teams.
Pastoral Care & Connection:
- Build and oversee Revive’s care ministry, ensuring that individuals and families receive spiritual and practical support in times of need.
- Provide pastoral care through prayer, follow-up, and presence during significant life moments (hospital visits, funerals, crisis care, etc.).
- Equip and empower a Care Team to serve the congregation effectively.
- Ensure consistent systems for following up with new guests, prayer requests, and pastoral needs.
Campus Health & Culture:
- Champion the vision of Revive and ensure it’s lived out in every ministry area.
- Create a welcoming, life-giving atmosphere that reflects Revive’s heart and culture.
- Foster connection and community among attendees through Small Groups, events, and team life.
- Serve as a visible, accessible pastor to the congregation and volunteers.
Qualifications:
- A mature, hungry follower of Jesus who demonstrates spiritual and emotional health.
- Proven experience leading teams in a church or ministry setting.
- Strong relational and communication skills with a pastoral heart.
- Organizational excellence and attention to detail.
- Ability to inspire and develop leaders at multiple levels.
- Proactive, attentive, and self-led.
- Alignment with the mission, theology, and values of Revive.
