About the role:

RevivBio is a venture-backed biotechnology company located at Engine Accelerator in Cambridge, MA.

We have an immediate opening for a scientist with expertise in leveraging droplet microfluidics for high-throughput cell-based assays. This highly motivated scientist will be part of a highly multidisciplinary team (AI/ML, protein engineering, biology), who work collaboratively to develop biologics for crop protection and human health applications.

The successful applicant has deep and demonstrated expertise in drop-based manipulation of single cells (bacteria, yeast, mammalian, and insect cells). This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to grow and influence in a dynamic company focused on the cutting edge of protein engineering technology, while solving real world problems in collaboration with Fortune 500 customers across pharma and ag-biotech.


Key Requirements

⦁ Experience in cell-based assay development and assay integration in emulsion

⦁ Profiency in standard molecular biology techniques, particularly barcode PCR and sample prep for NGS

⦁ Experience with fluorescence-based microscopy

⦁ Experience with flow cytometry and/or FACS is a plus

⦁ Experience with microcapsules, or hydrogels is a plus

⦁ Familiarity with NGS sequencing

⦁ PhD in Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related fields is required

⦁ 1 years of postdoctoral experience in academia or industrial setting is a plus


Key Responsibilities

⦁ Design, develop and execute microfluidic-enabled ultrahigh throughput cell-based assay for peptide and protein-based biologics

⦁ Design microfluidic devices in CAD software and perform device fabrication

⦁ Execute molecular biology experiments including PCR and library preparation for sequencing

⦁ Analyze the data, and report to internal and external stakeholders. Document work using ELNs and write SOPs.

⦁ Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary setting. Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends
