About the Role
Are you a community-builder with a passion for yoga and wellness? Revival is looking for a dynamic Yoga Manager to oversee the day-to-day coordination and growth of our yoga program. This is a unique, part-time contractor role designed for someone who loves fostering a strong teacher culture, optimizing schedules, and expanding community outreach.
The Yoga Manager serves as the primary point of contact for our instructors and is the "bright light" representing our brand to the community.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Studio Administration
- Schedule Optimization: Monitor attendance trends and use data-driven insights to refine the class schedule for maximum engagement.
- MindBody Management: Serve as the lead administrator for MindBody, handling schedule builds, workshop entries, and technical troubleshooting.
- Operational Oversight: Manage the teacher subbing process for real-time accuracy and assist the Operations Director with payroll verification.
- Safety & Environment: Ensure a safe, high-quality practice space by managing equipment setup and adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
Teacher Leadership & Excellence
- Instructional Lead: Lead engaging group yoga sessions with enthusiasm, ensuring proper technique and safety for all participants.
- Mentorship & Training: Train and mentor the teaching staff to uphold high standards of excellence and consistent customer service.
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Vet potential instructors through demo classes and coordinate the onboarding process with studio leadership.
- Team Culture: Act as the primary liaison between staff and leadership, hosting quarterly gatherings to maintain morale and alignment.
Community Growth & Marketing
- Outreach Initiatives: Coordinate monthly "Community Outreach" classes to support local non-profits and attract new practitioners.
- Workshop Coordination: Scout and manage the logistics for specialty workshops and guest instructors.
- Marketing Collaboration: Partner with the marketing to create promotional materials and drive awareness for private sessions and studio rentals.
- Brand Advocacy: Act as a "bright light" in the community, actively networking and gathering student feedback to continuously improve our offerings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certified Yoga Instructor: Must hold a current certification from an accredited organization. Additional certifications in Pilates, personal training, or specialized fitness are a major plus.
- Instructional Expertise: Proven experience teaching yoga, with a strong background in group fitness instruction. You should have an extensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, body mechanics, and safety principles.
- MindBody Proficiency: Mastery of MindBody software is required, specifically for back-end schedule management, workshop creation, and troubleshooting.
- Leadership & Team Growth: Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, lead by example, and foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Program Design: Ability to design effective, engaging wellness programs that may incorporate diverse elements like Pilates or functional movement to enhance the participant experience.
- Community & Sales Savvy: Experience in community building or event coordination, with a familiarity in wellness sales strategies to promote programs and increase student engagement.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to teach clearly, inspire confidence, and work closely with the Operations Director and Owner to meet program goals.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: Competitive; Dependent on Experience (DOE).
- Class Rate: $45 per class (One class per week preferred).
- Schedule: Maximum 4–5 hours per week (plus teaching time).
