Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional administrative and clinical support in an expanding wellness clinic, ensuring smooth operations while delivering outstanding patient service. We are looking for an individual to fill this role who has a strong desire to help people through a wellness and preventative focus.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage and answer phone calls, manage text messages.
- Manage initial patient intake and scheduling, including collecting personal information and initial paperwork.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits for patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Assist with the administration of basic life support as needed.
- Document vital signs and assist healthcare providers during patient examinations.
- Provide support in various clinical support within the scope of practice of the Medical Assistant certification.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow within the clinic.
- Handle phone inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Previous experience in a medical administrative support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with wellness and preventative clinic experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of wellness clinic processes, focus of care and treatments preferred.
- Proficiency in managing patient care processes including intake procedures, vital sign assessments, lab draws and injection process.
