Duties
- Operate a variety of trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks.
- Safely transport freight to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Load and unload cargo as necessary, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes taken, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Collaborate with dispatchers to optimize routes for efficiency.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
- Familiarity with various truck types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated units.
- Experience in route driving and delivery driver roles is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading purposes is a plus.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols is essential.
