This position requires working in a laboratory and fast-paced food production environment.
*First shift opening* 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Certification (ex. GED)
- 1 years in food manufacturing environment
- Previous manufacturing knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including: standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces.
- Willing and able to adhere to all safety standards and wear all necessary personal protective equipment.
- Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills
- Trained on or able to train on laboratory equipment including but not limited to refractometers, O2 meters, scales, water activity meters, temperature probes and gauges, and more.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to work alongside others collaboratively
- Experience with Microsoft Office (word and excel)
- Documentation, record keeping, and data entry
- Organization skills
- Ability to read, write, and perform fundamental mathematics
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities at line operations and laboratory levels.
- Monitor and document all production line Q.C. activities as directed by Q.A. Manager. Report immediately deviations to Operations and Q.A. manager.
- Maintain and report raw material deviations to material standards.
- Conduct various types of quality assurance inspections, visual, organoleptic and or chemical.
- Report to QA Manager deviations, inconsistencies, and discrepancies. Identify quality issues to line supervisors and recommended course of action to correct noted diviations.
- Assure corporate GMP's are updated, and associates follow all corporate and governmental standards.
- Assure sanitation standards are met and in compliance with corporate and governmental standards.
- Train new and existing employees in all areas of GMPs that affect plant sanitation and product integrity.
- Conduct as required appropriate lab testing on products, raw materials, and equipment to assure compliance with and quality standards.
- At the direction of Q.A. Manager, perform quality audits to assure compliance with GMP's, HAACP and regulatory requirements.
