Job Summary
We are a high end custom home firm with an in-house cabinet/woodworking shop looking for a hands-on Shop & Field manager to oversee daily shop and jobsite operations. This role works directly with the owner & operations manager and is responsible for keeping projects moving, materials organized, and helping build and install cabinets.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the cabinet manufacturing shop, ensuring production deadlines are met while maintaining quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, designers, and other field managers to interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed schematics for custom cabinetry projects.
- Supervise and train(if needed) shop personnel in the use of hand tools, power tools and well as teaching them new skills
- Ensure safety protocols are followed at the shop and on-site,
- Maintain inventory levels of materials like woodwork components, hardware, and other fabrication materials.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure finished products meet client specifications and industry standards.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong background in custom cabinetmaking and fine woodworking
- High level of skill in cabinet construction, assembly, and installation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and cut lists
- Proficient in finish trim carpentry; light framing experience is a plus
- Skilled with hand tools, power tools, CNC machinery, and shop equipment
- Strong understanding of jobsite and shop safety practices
- Experience working in custom homes and remodeling environments
- Ability to work hands-on while leading and supporting a small team
- Detail-oriented with high standards for fit, finish, and craftsmanship
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
