Are you an expert level EDDA? Our growing team needs an experienced, reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented Expanded Duty Dental Assistant to join our team at Revitalize Dental. The ideal candidate will assist our dental professionals in providing top-quality oral care, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients, and maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment.
Duties
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in medical documentation.
- Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with coding when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
- Utilize 3D scanners for imaging as required in treatment planning.
- Implement aseptic techniques to prevent infection within the clinic environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic setting is required.
- Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Eaglesoft is highly desirable- on the job training available.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
