Job Summary: You will be responsible for safely operating our tow truck to assist with vehicle recoveries, transport, and on-site repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive mechanics, enabling them to conduct initial diagnostics and minor repairs on-site, providing an integrated service that enhances client satisfaction and maintains the continuity of our high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate tow trucks and other recovery vehicles to transport broken-down or accident-damaged vehicles.
- Perform emergency roadside repairs, including but not limited to battery replacements, tire changes, and fluid refills.
- Conduct initial diagnostics to assess vehicle condition and attempt minor repairs on-site when possible.
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle recoveries, services performed, and customer interactions.
- Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and company regulations while operating the tow truck and performing mechanic duties.
- Provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy in all customer interactions.
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeeping of the tow truck and other service equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license (DL) with a clean driving record.
- DOT Medical Card
- Proven experience as a tow truck driver and mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
- Ability to handle physical workload and lift heavy equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
