Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for a Finance Manager based in Austin, TX. The Finance Manager will be in charge of overseeing and managing the organization’s financial health. Daily responsibilities include budget planning, financial forecasting, preparing financial reports, maintaining compliance with regulations, overseeing accounting operations, and optimizing resource allocation. The role also involves providing financial insights to key stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making. It is vital for this role to have prior experience with fundraising and bring fresh ideas in how to attract corporate sponsors, both financial commitments and non financial commitments.
Qualifications
- Strong financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting expertise
- Willingness to put in 10 hours/week from June - August
- Strong background in either Hackathons or raising money
- Have raised money for organizations in the past and know how to raise money for nonprofits
- Bring ideas to the table in terms of how to approach finances
- Prefer help with other fronts too if needed such as recruiting judges and event planning
