Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-grade cloud solutions in a hybrid environment combining AWS and on-premises infrastructure. This role focuses on hands-on engineering, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices to modernize legacy systems and build scalable, resilient cloud-native platforms. The ideal candidate will play a key role in cloud migrations, CI/CD pipeline development, container orchestration, and hybrid storage integration, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with architecture, security, and operational standards.
Required Skills
- Strong experience with AWS cloud services and hybrid (AWS on-prem) architecture
- Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform and Ansible
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools
- Containerization and orchestration experience with ECS, Fargate, and EKS
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/Amazon Linux) environments
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience with cloud migration strategies (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, refactoring)
- Troubleshooting across compute, networking, storage, identity, and containers
- Knowledge of governance, tagging, security, and operational best practices
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of enterprise IT experience with strong hands-on engineering background
- Proven experience designing and implementing AWS solutions
- Experience supporting large-scale cloud migrations
- Experience handling mission-critical, high-availability systems
- Strong understanding of DevOps and DevSecOps practices
- Experience with GitHub Enterprise and branching strategies
- Exposure to multi-account AWS environments and hybrid networking
Additional Skills
- Experience with NetApp ONTAP, FSx for ONTAP, or hybrid storage solutions
- Familiarity with caching appliances and storage optimization strategies
- Basic understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG architectures
- Experience working in government or regulated environments
- AWS Certification (Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional preferred)
