We are seeking a skilled Electronic Technician in Worcester, MA!
In this role, you will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and testing of electronic products returned.
Starting Rate: $22.00-$24.00/Hr.
Schedule: 7:00am-3:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, diagnose, repair, and reassemble customer-returned electronic products.
- Conduct component-level troubleshooting of sub-assemblies and final products to identify and correct faults in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
- Perform testing and QA audits on repaired units prior to customer return.
- Collaborate with Engineering to improve testing methodologies, fixtures, and procedures.
- Interface with QA, Purchasing, Production Control, and Engineering to ensure continuous product improvement.
- Monitor Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) for issues that affect product testability or methodologies.
- Participate in the design, development, and review of new test equipment and procedures.
- Train test personnel on revised or new testing processes.
- Support ongoing efforts to improve productivity, quality, and reliability through process enhancements.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong electro-mechanical aptitude with the ability to disassemble and reassemble electronic equipment.
- Ability to pass soldering assessment
- Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB assembly drawings, and Bills of Material.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting analog and digital circuits, acoustic transducers, and cable assemblies.
- Ability to remove and replace SMD and leaded components on PCB assemblies.
- Familiarity with standard test and measurement tools and acoustic source/measurement techniques.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Associate's degree in Electronics
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in electronics repair or testing
- Electronic Technician certification or comparable licensure (required)
