About the Company
Revere Staffing Partners is looking for a Bearing Applications & Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our client — a well-established, family-owned, ISO 9001-registered American manufacturer of precision bearings, metal stampings, and machined components.
About the Role
You'll join the Applications/Design Engineering team, designing and modifying bearing components and assemblies to meet customer requirements while developing and improving the manufacturing processes that produce them.
Responsibilities
- Provide applications engineering support to Sales: design layouts, sales drawings, cost models, technical presentations, and customer issue resolution
- Produce internal component and vendor drawings; review customer requirements and build-to-print designs for manufacturability
- Design bearing components and assemblies using DFMA principles; contribute to new product development and IP growth
- Design progressive and compound dies for bearing components (jackets, ball cases, races)
- Develop and release manufacturing plans, tooling methodologies, work instructions, and engineering change notices
- Support production floor troubleshooting and resolve escalated technical issues balancing performance, cost, and schedule
- Collaborate with QA on control plans and inspection methods; participate in Kaizen events and Lean initiatives
- Lead engineering projects, partnering with employees at all levels to hit deadlines and objectives
Qualifications
- Bearing design and/or bearing manufacturing experience (must-have)
- Metal stamping and machining knowledge
Required Skills
- AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks; MS Excel and Access
- Blueprint reading, engineering drawing interpretation, and tolerancing
- Self-motivated problem solver with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills — comfortable working with everyone from press room operators to external customers
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in mechanical design, drafting, or manufacturing methods
- Assembly, machining, and metal stamping manufacturing experience
- Understanding of case hardening / heat treat processes
Pay range and compensation package
Salary: $80,000–$100,000 (flexible for the right candidate)
