Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Newport Beach, CA. The Project Manager will oversee residential construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, and quality standards for luxury custom homes and residential developments. Responsibilities include coordinating with architects, designers, engineers, and trade partners; preparing and updating project plans; and ensuring all work aligns with contract documents and design intent. The role involves monitoring daily site progress, resolving field issues, organizing inspections, and enforcing safety and compliance requirements. The Project Manager will also handle procurement and expediting of materials, maintain clear communication with clients and investors, and produce regular project status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Project coordination and oversight skills, including Project Management and Inspection experience.
- Experience with Expeditor and Expediting functions to move permits, approvals, and materials efficiently through required processes.
- Logistics Management skills to plan, schedule, and sequence materials, trades, and deliveries on active job sites.
- Background in residential construction, preferably luxury custom homes or high-end residential development.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.
- Clear, professional communication skills for collaborating with clients, design teams, trade partners, and inspectors.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software tools (e.g., scheduling, document management, budgeting).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements in Southern California is preferred.
