What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Technician position at Revere Plastics Systems and Careers?
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Performs preventive maintenance on tooling and related items. Troubleshoots molding issues to determine if there is tool damage or there are other issues causing problems. Determines the correct actions to take in order to resolve the issues. Must perform necessary work to repair tool in house, while outsourcing as little as possible.

- Demonstrated abilities handling stress in a fast paced environment while performing multiple tasks effectively
- Strong organization, trouble shooting, and planning skills; works efficiently

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work effectively with the customers and others in the work environment
- Basic computer skills
- Strong teamwork skills Required
- Some welding, benching/spotting, and machining skills
- High degree of mechanical and trouble shooting ability
- A STRONG understanding of injection molds and all their related components example valve gates, hot runners, hydraulics, etc and the knowledge to repair them
- Required to supply all necessary tools

Requirements:EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalency.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/TASKS/ABILITIES:
Basic math skills.
Basic reading skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
