Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and self-motivated Registered Dietitian to join our multidisciplinary team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will specialize in developing comprehensive nutrition plans, providing dietary counseling, and supporting our clients' recovery through evidence based nutritional strategies. Your expertise will be essential in helping our clients understand the role of nutrition in recovery and in establishing healthy eating habits that promote overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutritional assessments to determine the dietary needs and restrictions of each client.
- Create personalized nutrition plans that support the recovery process and address individual health concerns, including substance abuse recovery, eating disorders, and co-occurring mental health conditions.
- Educate clients on proper nutrition, healthy eating habits, and the importance of balanced diets.
- Provide meal support for clients during dedicated snack and lunch times during the programming day.
- Work collaboratively with the treatment team to integrate nutritional therapy into overall care plans.
- Monitor and document clients’ progress and make adjustments to nutritional plans as needed
- Conduct group workshops and seminars to foster community of health and wellness.
- Remain current with the latest nutritional science research and incorporate this knowledge into treatment plans.
- Ensure confidentiality and privacy of client health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide meal support and meal demonstrations within the supportive living environment to support clients with preparing and observing dinner.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) with active licensure in the state of Georgia.
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nutrition experience, with a strong preference for experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or women’s health.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients compassionately.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems and relevant technology.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development.
- Flexibility to work various hours, including possible evenings and weekends, to accommodate client schedules.

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
