CNC Machinist

Position Overview:

A leading manufacturer specializing in custom tooling for high-volume food service and packaging industries is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its modern, clean, and climate-controlled facility in Fremont, OH. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge CNC technology, producing precision components for a variety of industries including medical, automotive, electronics, and automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, adjust, and operate various CNC machine tools (3–5 axis milling preferred)
  

• Manufacture complex precision parts to tight tolerances and high finish requirements
  

• Interpret detailed blueprints and technical drawings for accurate part production
  

• Review programs and processes proactively to resolve issues before machining
  

• Perform precise metrology inspections and troubleshooting
  

• Operate multiple machines efficiently to maximize productivity
  

• Apply mechanical aptitude to understand the fit and function of tooling components
  

• Work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
  

• Support production goals in scrap reduction, efficiency, and downtime
  

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (certificate in manufacturing processes preferred)
  

• 3–5 years of CNC machining experience in high-precision environments
  

• Proficient in reading and editing CNC G-Code; familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens, or similar controls
  

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
  

• Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and machining sequences
  

• Willingness to work off-shift schedules
  

• Physically capable of:
  

  • Lifting 30–50 lbs occasionally
    

  • Standing and walking for long periods
    

  • Bending, reaching, and using fine motor skills
    

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree in a technical field or journeyman’s card in machining or tool making
  

• 4 years of military service in a technical role
  

• Experience in CAD/CAM environments
  

• Mechanically inclined with strong self-motivation and problem-solving ability
