This position is ideal for a motivated professional ready to take ownership of complex civil design projects and contribute to the success of our multidisciplinary practice. The Senior Civil Engineer will lead and manage projects such as roadways, site developments, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and permitting agencies. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and leadership to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that support sustainable community growth across Northwest Florida. Responsibilities include leading project teams of varying sizes to meet design, schedule, and budget goals; preparing designs, reports, and calculations for civil site development, stormwater, and utility projects; and overseeing the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates. The Senior Civil Engineer will also review drawings and technical documents for accuracy and quality, train and mentor junior staff, and communicate effectively with clients, agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders. Additional duties include attending meetings and performing site visits as needed, contributing to proposal development, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring all project activities are completed within established budgets and timelines.
Qualifications:
· Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
· 4–7 years of experience in civil engineering design, preferably in residential and/or commercial land development.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
· Strong understanding of civil design principles, standards, and construction practices.
· Experience performing field inspections, leading progress meetings, and coordinating with contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Ability to interpret and prepare engineering contract documents.
· Experience with civil analysis and modeling software, including the ability to interpret technical results.
· Familiarity with Florida permitting processes preferred.
