Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Our Memphis, TN client is seeking an Oracle PL/SQL Developer for a contract role to design and maintain robust, scalable software architecture for one or more elements of software systems; to oversee programming, implementation and maintenance revisions of specified projects; and to evaluate technologies and provide consultation regarding applications and systems needs related to these elements.

The position will be Hybrid coming into the office on Wednesdays.

Open to remote if non-local.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree with major in Information Systems or Management from an accredited college or university preferred. Masters degree strongly preferred.
• Ten (10) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education or experience required to include seven (7) years of software and development experience.
• Five (5) years hands-on programming experience in database and data driven applications strongly preferred.
• Experience in writing Packages for data loads.
• Experience creating and maintained Stored Procedure (Packages, Procedures, Function, and anonymous block) with Oracle PL/SQL
• Experience using Cursors to pull data from the Database.
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, explain plan etc
• Experience with external tables, and high volume data import into Oracle DB
• At least 8 years of experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
• Strong skills in Oracle server side programming which includes SQL, SQL*Plus, PL/SQL Packages, Stored Procedures, Functions, Cursors, Triggers, Views, Materialize Views, Temporary tables, Object Oriented PL/SQL Programming, Job, Schedulers, PL/SQL Web-services, Java Stored Procedures and Oracle AQ.
• Hands on experience on XML generation inside PL/SQL components.
• Strong Skills in data analysis, data modeling, development, testing and documentation.
• Strong skills on automating jobs using UNIX Shell scripts to run all the SQL files in a directory by invoking SQL *Plus.
• Hands on writing Cursors, User-defined Object types, Records, and Tables in PL/SQL Programming for generating worksheets, Arrays & Queues.
• Strong Skills in Exception Handling extensively debug PL/SQL Code, DDL, DML and display the error messages in the application.
• Experience in creating Materialized Views and Indexes for better performance of summary tables, Autonomous Transactions, Coding Dynamic SQL Statements.
• Experience in SQL Tuning to improve the query performance by identifying key fields, adding/removing tables/fields, and use of indexes.
• Good understanding of Oracle Explain Plan.
