Travel Requirements
- Primarily supporting Appleton-area sites
- Sites are typically 1–1.5 hours apart

Responsibilities
- Desktop setup and imaging
- Ensuring devices are functional before deployment
- Packaging and shipping equipment
- Following up with doctors/users to ensure proper setup and connectivity
- Providing phone support and troubleshooting
- Escalating issues when necessary
- Supporting hardware and field service needs
Day-to-Day Activities
- Image and configure desktops
- Verify systems are working properly
- Box and prepare equipment
- Support doctors/users with setup questions
- Ensure equipment is connected correctly
- Be available for support calls
Team Structure
- MSP is based in Madison
- Currently only one technician supporting the environment and becoming overwhelmed
- This person will work closely with the MSP team on a daily basis

Field & L2 Support Technician – Radiology IT Services

Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile and driven IT professional to serve as the eyes and hands in the field for our radiology IT operations. This hybrid role combines on-site field support, Level 2 troubleshooting, and basic networking tasks to maintain the stability and performance of systems critical to radiology workflows. You will support imaging center users directly while coordinating with central IT teams to maintain, optimize, and expand infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site technical support for radiology imaging centers, addressing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Troubleshoot workstations, imaging devices, printers, and radiology-specific software including PACS, RIS, PowerScribe, and EPIC.
- Serve as an extension of centralized L2 support by executing field-based troubleshooting, installations, and escalations.
- Perform basic networking tasks, including cable testing, port tracing, and light configuration of switches and firewalls.
- Assist with the racking, unracking, and physical setup of IT equipment in data centers, telecom rooms, and office environments.
- Monitor system performance on-site, identify anomalies, escalate issues as needed, and thoroughly document resolutions.
- Assist with technology rollouts, imaging center onboarding, equipment refreshes, and site surveys.
- Maintain accurate local inventory of IT equipment, accessories, and spares.
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve support processes and infrastructure reliability based on field insights and user feedback.
- Deliver high-quality support with urgency and empathy, recognizing the impact IT has on clinical care and patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in desktop support (Windows OS, workstation/peripheral troubleshooting).
- Working knowledge of radiology systems and workflows is highly desirable.
- Experience performing basic switch/router configuration and firewall troubleshooting.
- Comfortable handling physical IT setup tasks and equipment installations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and documentation practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to support both clinical and technical users.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (travel to multiple sites required).
- Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 40 lbs.
Salary : $65,000 - $80,000
