This position requires extended periods of standing and walking on a manufacturing floor environment. Protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, gowning) must be worn as required. The role operates in a temperature-controlled pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs may be required. Responsibilities/Essential Duties
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by following policies and procedures
- Assists in tracking internal and contract testing of raw material and finished product samples
- Perform raw material and purified water sampling
- Coordinates sample shipments to outside resources
- Assist EHS involving safety issues/corrections in the lab
- Maintain laboratory supply inventory
- Clean laboratory glassware
- Perform additional duties, projects, or training assignments as needed
- Minimum High School Diploma or 2-year associate’s degree
- 0–3 years of experience in a GMP-regulated environment (manufacturing, laboratory, or quality systems preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess basic math skills
- Ability to comprehend relevant SOP information pertaining to test methods, specifications, protocols, CoA’s, and other documentation related to sampling, tracking and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished product.
- Experience working in a regulated pharmaceutical, OTC drug, cosmetic, or medical device manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of compendial methods (USP, EP, JP) and pharmacopeial requirements.
- Exposure to method validation/verification, analytical troubleshooting, and instrument qualification.
