Position Summary
REV Mortgage is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Loan Processor to join our operations team. The Loan Processor is responsible for managing residential mortgage loan files from application through closing by collecting, reviewing, and validating all required documentation while ensuring compliance with investor, company, and regulatory guidelines.
The ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple loan files in a fast-paced environment while delivering an outstanding experience to borrowers, Loan Officers, and referral partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Loan File Management
- Review new loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Collect, organize, and verify all borrower documentation, including income, assets, credit, employment, and property information.
- Submit complete and accurate loan files to underwriting.
- Monitor loan progress and ensure all conditions are satisfied in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate loan status updates throughout the transaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between borrowers, Loan Officers, underwriters, title companies, and other third parties during the processing stage.
- Provide regular updates to borrowers and Loan Officers regarding loan status and outstanding items.
- Respond promptly to requests and inquiries while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Deliver a positive customer experience throughout the mortgage process.
Underwriting & Compliance Support
- Review documentation to ensure compliance with agency, investor, and company guidelines.
- Analyze income, assets, credit reports, and supporting documentation for completeness and consistency.
- Clear underwriting conditions and coordinate with all parties to facilitate loan approval.
- Ensure loan files meet all federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
Closing Coordination
- Work closely with title companies, closing agents, and internal teams to ensure loans close on schedule.
- Review closing packages for accuracy and completeness.
- Confirm all prior-to-close and prior-to-funding conditions have been satisfied.
- Assist in resolving any issues that may delay closing.
Qualifications:
Required
- Minimum of 2 years of mortgage loan processing experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Construction loan guidelines.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple loan files simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with Loan Origination Systems(LOS), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred
- Experience processing loans for multiple investors.
- Knowledge of Encompass or other mortgage loan origination software.
- Familiarity with TRID, RESPA, and mortgage compliance requirements.
- Experience working in a fast-paced retail mortgage environment.
