Job Summary
The Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and efficient material data entry, managing pick sheets, transfer sheets and supporting inventory control processes for all business units within the MRP system. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth material flow within the facility by processing data, tracking materials, and coordinating with relevant teams to support production and operational goals.

Job Summary
The Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and efficient material data entry, managing pick sheets, transfer sheets and supporting inventory control processes for all business units within the MRP system. This role plays a key part in maintaining smooth material flow within the facility by processing data, tracking materials, and coordinating with relevant teams to support production and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities To Include But Not Limited To
- Data Entry & Record Management:
- Accurately enter material transactions into the inventory management system.
- Maintain up-to-date records of materials, shipments, and stock levels.
- Ensure all data is correctly logged to support accurate reporting and traceability.
- Ensure all data is transacted in a timely manner to support operational efficiency.
- Pick Sheet Control & Processing:
- Review and distribute pick sheets for material movement.
- Monitor and track pick sheet completion to ensure timely material availability.
- Identify and address discrepancies between pick sheets and inventory records.
- Inventory & Material Coordination:
- Assist in tracking inventory levels and reporting shortages or excess materials.
- Support cycle counts and inventory audits as needed.
- Coordinate with warehouse, production, and procurement teams to resolve material issues.
- Compliance & Continuous Improvement:
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure material accuracy.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance material flow and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational guidelines.
- Audits transactions and rack to record to ensure accuracy between system and physical.
- Required:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse and material handling processes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Preferred:
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
- Experience in data entry, inventory control, or materials coordination.
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain environments.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel or other data management tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move materials as needed.
- Work in a warehouse or production environment with exposure to varying temperatures.
