Mechanical Maintenance Technician Morning MID SHIFT 3PM-11PM

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have expertise in repairing and maintaining packaging equipment and machinery. The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and optimal performance of our production and packaging systems. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Must have electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of packaging equipment and machinery to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Perform repairs and adjustments on packaging equipment to ensure optimal functionality and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, diagnosing the root cause and implementing effective solutions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubrication, cleaning, and calibration, according to the established maintenance schedule.
• Collaborate with the production team to understand equipment performance requirements and provide technical support as needed.
• Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new packaging machinery and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Keep up-to-date with advancements in packaging equipment technology and recommend improvements or upgrades when necessary.

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
• Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Strong knowledge of packaging equipment, machinery, and systems, including but not limited to conveyors, cartoners, robotics, tray packers, shrink bundlers, shrink wrap machines, and palletizers.
• Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
• Skilled in performing repairs, adjustments, and preventive maintenance tasks on packaging equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve equipment breakdowns efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining electronic records and communicating via email.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and provide clear instructions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $34.00 per hour
