Industrial Equipment Technician Rev-A-Shelf - Louisville, KY From $20 an hour Position Summary: The Industrial Equipment Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and other material handling machinery. This role ensures equipment reliability and safety to support efficient operations across the facility. Position responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on industrial equipment. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and perform corrective repairs. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs or parts. Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability. Essential skills and experience: High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and computerized maintenance systems. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred skills and experience: Forklift certification and experience with industrial lift equipment. Technical certification or associate degree. Reporting to this position: No direct reports Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery. Additional Requirements: Must have reliable transportation, basic hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screw drivers, pliers, etc.), and ANSI approved steel or composite toe shoes. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
