What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician - CNC Machine shop position at Reuther Mold & Mfg.?
Maintenance Technician Job Overview:
Momentous Mold & Machine Additive Engineering Solutions (AES) – sister companies with shared ownership – are seeking a Maintenance Technician to support both sites located ~10-mins. away from each other in the Akron Ohio area. This is a hands-on role requiring direct involvement in CNC machine & facility needs (with support from both organizations.) This role also creates an opportunity for a leader to partner with tech-forward owner-operators as we grow precision machining shops to support the aerospace & defense industry.
AES Momentous both provide high-precision tooling and assemblies for mission-critical aerospace & defense programs. We support eVTOL programs, space-launch booster systems, composite rotor blade molds and other high-consequence applications.
- AES is the world leader in Large Format Polymer Additive Manufacturing with deep expertise in additive-based aerospace & defense tooling. The company was founded ~10-yrs. ago, with ~30 employees in Akron, Ohio and has ~10 major assets.
- Momentous has a 75-yr.-old legacy in high-precision machining, with ~20 major machining centers & ~65 employees in a 60k sq-ft facility in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the uptime, accuracy, and reliability of ~30 CNC assets across two facilities. While 20% of the role involves general facility maintenance (including monitoring environmental controls), 80% is dedicated to the mechanical and electrical health of CNC machining centers.
Asset Maintenance (~80% focus) - Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues on CNC mills and lathes
- Troubleshoot and maintain spindles, ball screws, way-covers, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems.
- Define solutions & coordinate repairs; assign tasks to outside services or co-workers as needed.
- Develop and coordinate schedules for routine PM
Facility Maintenance (~20% focus) - Troubleshoot building-related issues, ensuring the facility supports a high-consequence production environment. Act as the primary point of contact for facility-related outside services.
The role is split between 2 sites located ~10 mins away (~80% Momentous; ~20% AES).
