Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join our dynamic construction and renovation team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying paint, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using hand tools such as brushes, rollers, spray guns (including airless paint spraying), and power tools.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to determine project scope and specifications.
- Perform surface repairs including plastering, caulking, stucco application, and masonry work to create smooth finishes.
- Execute renovation projects involving trim carpentry, fixture installation, frame carpentry, and restoration work.
- Utilize construction estimating skills to assess project requirements and materials needed for each job.
- Maintain safety protocols on construction sites while handling equipment like scaffolding, welding tools, and concrete finishing tools.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finishes meet color theory standards and client expectations.
- Assist with schematics interpretation for industrial painting or complex commercial projects.
- Support maintenance tasks such as drywall repair, masonry work, or handyman duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in residential painting with knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and airless spray equipment.
- Strong understanding of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills.
- Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and experience working on renovation or restoration projects.
- Knowledge of various painting techniques including industrial painting and specialty coatings like stucco or masonry finishes.
- Hands-on experience with caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, plastering, welding (preferred), and concrete finishing is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments involving scaffolding or elevated work platforms.
