Job Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion and quality standards, and food safety guidelines.
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature, plated consistently, and meets presentation standards.
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen workspace.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver timely and consistent service during peak hours.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; communicate replenishment needs to management.
- Support catering events as needed, ensuring high-quality preparation and presentation.
- Uphold casual dining standards through attention to flavor, portion control, and visual presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, adhering to OSHA, HACCP, and company standards.
- Operate and maintain equipment (ovens, grills, burners, fryers, salamanders, etc.), reporting malfunctions promptly.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating deliveries (FIFO).
- Provide support to teammates with prep work, cleaning, and other assigned duties.
- Stay informed on inventory levels, events, specials, and group functions.
- Foster professional working relationships with colleagues across all departments.
- Maintain knowledge of emergency procedures, equipment locations, and reporting protocols.
- Always maintain a professional appearance, ensuring the assigned uniform is clean, pressed, and complete with the required nametag.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to meet business needs.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and brand service standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Culinary Arts degree a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years’s experience with banquet production.
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong multitasking, time-management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and perform repetitive motions (reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling) for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working in hot environments.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible schedule availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support the needs of the operation.
- Food safety certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days).
- English language proficiency is required to perform the essential functions of this position.
