Job Title: Receiving Agent
Location: 35 West Jefferson Avenue Pearl River NY 10965
Duration: 12 Months (Possibilities of further extension)
JOB DESCRIPTION
Purpose: The Receiving Agent (RA) to reports to the Warehouse Manager (WM). The RA is responsible for providing support for the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and must be familiar with all current standards, policies and practices set forth by the client. Specific duties and requirements may include but are not limited to the following:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Receiving shipments of all material for our prefabrication department delivered to Client '''' warehouse into our Procurement database
2.Verifying packing list counts against material physically delivered by our vendors
3. Communicating with Prefab regarding the receipts of material and working to determine if material is intended for their use or their job''''s use on-site
4. Reporting to Purchasing any inconsistencies with material received versus material ordered. Examples include but are not limited to:
• Part number is different than what was purchased
• Manufacturer differs from what was purchased
• Quantity does not match what was purchased
5. Staging material in prefab when requested by the prefabrication foreman.
6. Staging material in prefab''''s stock when requested by on-site coworkers.
7. Assisting the Logistics Coordinator (LC). These include and are not limited to:
• Staging material received for following day deliveries
• Informing LC when material is ready for shipment so LC can coordinate a site delivery
8. Working in tandem with the RMA department on clean offs, stock adjustments, and all other inventory transactions associated with their department
9. Performing physical inventory checks against stock levels in Client D-bases when directed by the WM
10. Maintain a clean and safe warehouse.
11. Identify problems with the current procedures in place to track and issue material and suggest solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy
12. Ensure that coworkers are performing their duties in a safe manner
13. Perform other necessary functions that WM assigns to RA
Salary : $21 - $25
