What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Game Tester position at Retrolio Games LLC?
A video game tester is responsible for assisting in testing, modifying and repairing consoles as directed. The main modifications/repairs will involve software work, disassembly and light soldering. Everything that is required can be taught on the job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform testing of console, explains operation of games.
- Continued inventory of console, console parts and tools etc.
- Proper documentation of game issues, accessories, warranty and guarantee etc.
- Must be able to work alone and be a self-starter.
- Maintenance of record of repairing consoles, parts used, part return etc.
- Posses comfort with AV systems including game sound, video, projectors and control systems.
- Able to use/read a volt/ohmmeter and a soldering gun.
- Stocks and maintains inventory of all parts of the console.
- Basic knowledge of computers systems and video game consoles.
- Rudimentary knowledge of troubleshooting computer hardware and computer peripherals.
- Work as a team player and actively contribute to all departments.
- Attend all required department meetings and training sessions.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Perform Opening, Running and Closing department duties as assigned.
- Adhere to proper uniform guidelines according to Retro Games.
- Display excellent communication skills.
- Show eagerness to learn new skills and trades.
- Basic knowledge of testing consoles, modding consoles, repairing consoles, etc.
- The environment includes bright, dim or flashing lights.
- Ability to use a point of sale system and other electronic equipment as needed.
- Maintains safety standards at all times.

Experience:
Expected to have familiarity with video games/consoles and basic technical fluency.
Reports to: Store Manager and/or Assistant Manager
Salary: $13/hours, Overtime as per labor law
Working Hours: We are open daily 9am-9pm and can be flexible on your work schedule
